Registration & Hospitality Desk

  • The Registration desk will operate throughout the meeting at the front of the conference room in Hotel Novotel Budapest Congress at the following hours:

Get Together Reception

  • A reception will be held in the Arcade Restaurant of the Hotel Novotel Budapest Congress on 17th May after the opening plenary session. The reception will be open to all attendees and accompanying persons.

Climate and Clothing

  • May is a gorgeous month to visit Budapest. Average May temperature: 17ºC / 63ºF. Rain showers become more frequent, though so warm days can suddenly seem colder if cloudy skies and drizzly weather prevails. Don't forget your umbrella for May travel to Budapest. Wise travelers pack layers that they can shed during the day if the temperature grows warm.
    Clothing is informal for all occasions.

Time Zone

  • The time zone in Budapest is Central European Time (CET) (GMT +1 hour), and six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Banking and Exchange

  • The Hungarian currency is HUF. Foreign currency may be changed at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, at the airport and in exchange offices. All major credit cards are acceptedable in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

Visa

  • All visitors are required to have a valid passport, and for some countries, a visa is required as well.
  • For further information please contact your nearest Hungarian Embassy, Consulate or local travel agency well in advance. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

  • The course organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of property belonging to course participants (or their accompanying person), either during, or as a result of the course.

  • The letter of Invitation is meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment from the side of the organizers to provide any financial support.
